About Motu-kairangi | Miramar Library

Motu-kairangi Miramar Library is located on busy Miramar Parade.

The Library offers preschool, holidays programming alongside the usual fare of print and digital resources.

The Māori name was gifted by mana whenua partners Wellington Tenths Trust and means 'sky-gazing island', referring to the time of Tara when Motu-kairangi was an island, the largest of the three or four islands within Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
