About Cummings Park (Ngaio) | Korimako Library
Korimako Cummings Park Library in Ngaio is a mid-size suburban branch of the Wellington City Libraries network. Catering to the Ngaio community and surrounding suburbs, the library takes its name from the Korimako stream – a section of the Kaiwharawhara whaitua/catchment.
Cummings Park Library maintains a popular selection of fiction and non-fiction material and magazines and caters to all ages. In addition to its regular lending collections, the library is also home to:
Taonga Tuku Iho: a small heritage centre of reference resources to help with local history and genealogical research
Kohinga Kākano: one of the network’s two Kākano Seed Libraries which aim to encourage beginners into backyard gardening through the supply of small quantities of free seeds
Kohikohinga Māori: a small lending collection of Māori materials.
Regular programming and special events for tamariki include Baby Rock and Rhyme, STEAM sessions, and school holiday activities.
