Tokoroa Public Library

There are two full libraries in the District, the largest of which is in Tokoroa (temporarily located at 211 Leith Place until mid-2025).

The Putāruru Library is situated in the Jim Howland Service Centre in Overdale Street.

There is also a library service operating from The Dog in Tīrau – Library Link.

South Waikato District Libraries are managed through the Kōtui Consortium which is used by over 40 other New Zealand councils.
