About Matamata Library
We have three libraries located in Matamata, Morrinsville, and Te Aroha, and a digital collection accessible through our website.
Our libraries support more than the traditional language literacy associated with reading; they also support wider well-being by providing:
- Staff assistance and computer access at the libraries, enabling community members to get the support they need in applying for jobs, benefits, and community funding; connecting with families in other parts of the world; conducting research; and accessing family history and educational needs.
- Programmes such as Wriggle & Rhyme, Toddler Time, Bricks for Kids, Book Chat, Stepping Up Digital Learning classes, and special events such as author visits, which all provide an opportunity for the community to develop, learn, and connect with each other.
- Spaces in our libraries that provide opportunities for individuals to study, relax, or meet.
