Ohakune Library

Located at the foot of Mt Ruapehu and close to the Turoa ski field, Ohakune Library offers fantastic views of the mountain from its large windows. With many seating options, visitors often settle themselves in for the day for work or study while enjoying the warm and comfortable surroundings.

Along with the usual and expected services, it has a growing collection of jigsaw puzzles and STEM borrowable kits, and a bookable meeting room.

As a Council service centre, customer service staff facilitate the general library day-to-day services, with library staff from the main branch in Taumarunui visiting often to assist in other tasks and to deliver holiday craft programs and children's storytime sessions.
